Morocco are one of the six African teams that will take part in Egypt 2021, the 27th IHF Men’s World Championship.

The Atlas Lions made six appearances in the World Championship, starting with their participation in the 1995 edition while their best appearance was in 2001 edition when they finished in the 17th place.

Morocco are one of the key participants in the African Championship as they made 18 appearances starting from 1987.

Morocco's best result in the African Championship was in 2006 when they finished in third place.
