Spotlight: Norway

Road to Egypt 2021: Norway booked their place in the 27th Men’s Handball World Championship after they came third at the Men’s EHF EURO 2020.

History: Norway have made 15 previous appearances in the World Championships and finished second in 2017 and 2019.

Coach: Christian Berge

Squad List: TBD

Nickname: Løvene

Despite having made only a single appearance in the Summer Olympic Games back in 1972, where they finished ninth, Norway have always been a team that has made a lot of noise at the Handball World Championship.

Norway have participated in the World Championship 15 times, notching their best result as runners-up in the 2017 and 2019 editions, losing to the hosts on both occasions.

Løvene, which translates into the Lions, have reached the European Championship nine times, and their best performance was the recent third-place finish in the EHF European Championship 2020,

That strong showing earned them a spot at Egypt 2021.
