Road to Egypt 2021: Defending champions Denmark are the title holders of the 2019 IHF Men’s World Championship.

History: Denmark clinched the title for the first time in 2019 after a long road spanning 23 appearances in 26 World Championships.

Denmark come to Egypt as the title holders, having lifted the World Championship trophy in 2019, their first win.

They also claimed three Bronze Medals in the 2002, 2004, and 2006 editions of the European Championships.

They also made seven appearances in the Summer Olympic Games, with their first performance in Munich 1972, and won the gold medal at Rio 2016.

Denmark have made 23 appearances in the World Championship, and are looking to defend their title at Egypt 2021, led by experienced coach Nikolaj Jacobsen and last edition’s MVP, Mikkel Hansen.
