Sports minister leads IHF president and Engineering Authority Head in an inspection visit to the Cairo Stadium hall
Egypt's Youth & Sports Minister Dr Ashraf Sobhy, International Handball Federation President Dr Hassan Mostafa, Engineering Authority Head Major General Ihab Al Far, and Cairo Stadium Authority Head, Maj.Gen Aly Darwish have paid an inspection visit to the indoor hall of the Cairo International Stadium, to stand on the progress of the construction and work taking place there .
The Indoor Hall of Cairo Stadium will host the games of Groups G and D of Egypt 2021, the 27th IHF Men's Handball World Championship.
During the inspection visit, Sobhy informed the IHF President that Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al- Sisi admired and appreciated the organisation of the Draw Ceremony as it has shown the country's ability of organising such major events.
Sobhy also confirmed to the IHF President Hassan Mostafa that the government is cooperating with the organisers and working closely with the organising committee of the tournament to assist in overcoming any obstacles that may emerge.
The Egyptian Sports Minister also reviewed the readiness to host all visitors coming to Egypt including;
the players, technical staffs and teams' supporters and how to accommodate them inside the halls that will host the championshipand the important role of the volunteers in both the opening and closing ceremonies.
Sobhy also has expressed his pleasure with the achievements in Cairo stadium indoor hall, confirming that the hall is more than 90% ready for the tournament and it will be full ready next October.
Engineering Authority Head Major General Ihab Al Far summarised the development project of the Cairo Stadium's Indoor Halls that included improving the efficiency and developing the journalists and media representatives' entrance as well as the main hall, the Press Conference hall, the lightening system of the general location, fans' entrances and the toilets.
From his side, IHF president Hassan Mostafa has praised the achievements done in the Cairo Stadium Indoor Hall and all other halls that will host the tournaments' matches, appreciating all the effort of the Egyptian government starting from Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al- Sisi, Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy for their keeness and continious support to this major event by following up the preparations in order to introduce a spectacular and unique championship that reflects the greatness of the Egyptian civilisation.
